Participation Rules:

The Figure Eight Auto Races are produced as an unusual spectator attraction. In the interest of safety, anyone entering is subject to and must obey the following rules and regulations

The Figure Eight Auto Race will be composed of individual heat and feature events. Decisions of the official judges and counters will be final for all events. No one (drivers, pit crew, family, etc.) will be allowed on the judge’s stand.

  • The Promoter reserves the right to approve or reject any and all entries
  • Each driver must fill out an entry form
  • Drivers must race only the car they entered for that class, that night. Points stay with the driver.
  • Cars must be inspected before it will be allowed to race. Cars will be inspected at every race. Cars can be randomly checked for certain items at any time or after any race.
  • Please have cars registered and tecked at least 1 hour before race time. Any car arriving once drivers’’ meeting has started will start at the tail end of the last heat.
  • Any driver can protest another competitor’’s car immediately after the event, but must be within 15 minutes after the main the car raced in. A protest fee of $50.00 cash must accompany protest. Car will be inspected for legal engine, tires, and suspension. If the car is found to be illegal the protesting driver will get $25.00 back and $25.00 will go the inspectors. If the car is found to be legal then the car driver will get $25.00 and $25.00 will go to the inspectors.
  • Rules are final prior to the beginning of the races season. However, the rules are subject for review by the Board, Track Officials, and/or Racing Committee and may be subject to change. If a change occurs, notification will be added to this website.
  • All persons entering the pit area must sign a waiver of liability.
  • No cars are permitted on the track before the heat in which they are to participate, except for Hot Laps.
  • NO BEER or ALCOHOL will be allowed anywhere in the pit area. Drinking on the track or in the pit area will result in your removal from the grounds. Any FIGHTING or BAD LANGUAGE will result in loss of points for that event and possible suspension from future events. This goes for driver and pit crew. Drivers you are responsible for your pit crew and followers actions. Official’’s decisions are FINAL!!
  • If hit in the intersection and causes red flag, the person responsible for the hit goes to the tail end and the person that got hit remains in position before the hit.
  • Rough driving determined by any flagman results in the black flag for the driver. He will be removed from that race. If it’’s a heat race, the driver will be able to start at the tail end of the lowest main. If this occurs in a main, the driver is done for the evening.
  • Head flagman will make final call on all decisions.
  • No drivers pit crew, etc can approach any flagman until race is finished.
  • Any car not staged by white flag of race prior to his, he will go to the tail end of his race.
  • Any car approached by anyone other then a track official will be penalized by moving to the tail.
  • If any car in any race has a flat tire and is not in the top 3, the driver will be black flagged.
  • Races will run green to checker unless drivers safety is at risk.
  • Any car disqualified will lose all pointed and money for that evening.
